Vic's Picks Week 3

Enjoy this post from World Champion and New York Giants legend Victor Cruz

YTD: 4-2 (+3.3 units)

Washington Commanders +6.5

An up and down Week 2, but we get right back off the mat. I’m rolling with the Commanders +6.5 against the 2-0 Eagles.

Washington is coming off a tough loss in Detroit, but I just think getting 6.5 points is good value at home against their division rival. Plus, Philly is on a short week, too. This is a difficult spot to quickly rebound after a big win on MNF to then go on the road and play a divisional game.

The Commanders should be extra motivated for this one since Carson Wentz will face the team that drafted him for the first time since they traded him away almost two years ago. Wentz is a rollercoaster, but I am betting on him to play well this weekend and to keep Washington in the game. This Commanders team has a lot of weapons at receiver and think they can give this Eagles defense some trouble. The trio of Terry McLaurin, Curtis Samuel, and rookie Jahan Dotson is one of the best units in the NFL and can take the top off any defense. This is an above average offense in Washington. They rank 6th in the NFL in yards per game and 10th in expected points added per play.

I am not betting Washington to win, but all we need is for them to cover the 6.5. I think they can get it done at home against their division rival, who is coming off a short week. Lastly, the Commanders have been pretty good against the spread recently as they are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games and have covered 4 of their last 5 home games.

New York Giants ML -113

HOMER ALERT!

For my second and final pick for Week 3, you know I have to go with my Giants. I mean, Big Blue at home on Monday Night Football against the Dallas Cowboys. Twist my arm more!

We are off to our best start since 2016 this season and I think we keep it rolling this week. I know Dallas is coming off a big win as a major underdogs against the reigning AFC champs, but I expect them to come back down to earth a little this week. The Dallas offense has been anemic through two games. They’re struggling with everything right now. Struggling to throw, run, and score points. The Dallas offense ranks dead last in expected points added per play and ranked second to last in scoring, averaging just 11.5 points per game through their first two. My guy Daniel Jones also always balls out in divisional games. He’s 9-4 ATS in divisional games with 16 TDs and 7 INTs.

My New York Giants are about to be 3-0!
